Van Honsebrouck: Bacchus Flemish Red

Almost a month back a visiting friend mentioned a style I had never tried before, the Sour Belgian beer. Unfortunately we could not find any to try during the visit, so the thought was pushed to the back of my mind and nearly forgotten. I will be eternally grateful for that nearly. Almost 2 months later during a visit to california I saw this beer listed on the menu and recalled that conversation, figuring what the hell I ordered my first Sour Belgian, and my life was never the same.

Brewery: Van Honsebrouck (Ingelmunster, Belgium)

ABV: 4.5%

Type: Flanders Oud Bruin (Sour Belgian)

Taste: Tart with very strong cherry flavor

Overall: Absolutely delicious, I would drink this anytime anywhere.

Rating: 10/10
